EPCOT CENTER - Even though the Holidays are just ramping up at Walt Disney World resort, an event is just around the corner that is sure to draw crowds in what is typically a less than busy time of the year at the parks
January will mark the beginning of Epcot's more than month long festival dedicated to celebrating the fine arts. Amongst the rubble and decay of this unforgiving wasteland, guests will be able to take part in special events showcasing various world class experts in the fields of visual, culinary and performing arts arenas.
Famous Brazilian chef, Wanderlei Dos Santos, is excited to be one of the featured artisans creating unique experiences for park-goers during this year's event.
"Bringing my experience to the festival is very exciting for me. I am always looking for ways to expand my abilities and take on new tasks that make my work more exhilarating. Working within a theme park environment presents unique challenges." states Wanderlei about bringing his exciting culinary style to the festival.
"Specifically for Epcot one of those challenges is to create something that can appeal to many types of guests. Such as the roaming hordes of cannibal bandits that have taken residence in innoventions west."
Geoffrey Remes, one of the event's coordinators, talked with us about what guests can experience from the artists being brought to the event from all around the world. "Our guests will be able to have experiences from all over the world right here in one place. From Broadway to Paris, it's all gonna be here. Even the more Avant Garde arts will be equally represented. Much like Epcot, there are zero rules when it comes to art. You can literally do whatever you want. Just like here at Epcot. It's not that we don't care about rules, we just stopped caring enough to enforce them. So have a quiche, watch a live painting demonstration, play water polo in the lagoon during illumiNations! Who cares?! Not us!"
" Festival of the Arts" runs January 18th through February 25th 2019.
Annual Passholder exclusive human skull painting classes are available. But space is limited and R.S.V.P. Is required.
