ORLANDO, FL - For the first time ever, Universal Orlando is giving guests the chance to get in on the action of their annual Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s with the interactive Amulet of Cheer lanyard!
“Our guests absolutely loved our new Holiday parade last year! Getting to see their favorite characters from Despicable Me, Madagascar and Shrek celebrating the holidays is a dream come true, and now they can get in on the fun by wearing a just-heavy-enough-to-be-uncomfortable piece of plastic around their necks!”
Inspired by the similar, but completely different Amulet of Fear introduced for Halloween Horror Nights 2018, the Amulet of Cheer is a representation of A Christmas Carol’s Ghost of Christmas Past. Described by Charles Dickens as having on its head a blazing light, reminiscent of a candle flame, the Amulet is the shape of a skull with a candle on top.
“It is NOT the Amulet of Fear,” representatives reiterated. “The Amulet of Fear was a big success, and we are excited to be offering this completely new product!”
The Amulet of Cheer is designed to blink, glow and vibrate in different patterns depending on which parade float is passing by. Guests should pay no mind to the bright jack-o-lanterns now included on every Holiday float.
The Amulets retail at $19.99 and come on a Halloween Horror Nights lanyard.
