ORLANDO, FL - SeaWorld announced at IAAPA this week that a new show will be taking the place of the current "One Ocean" Orca show in the stadium. The new show will be titled "Largemouth: A Celebration of Bass". This will mark the official phasing out of Orca shows at the Orlando Park. The stadium's name will remain the same as a dedication to the education and iconography that Shamu brought to the world via SeaWorld's experiences.
Details on the announcement of the show are still to come as time gets closer to it's planned debut in March of 2019. However, SeaWorld did share the attached concept art included here.
During the announcement, SeaWorld had this to say "At SeaWorld we try to provide world class experiences for all of our guests by bringing them as close as possible to exotic animals they may never encounter in the wild. But people don't like that. So we found a fish that apparently nobody cares about. We're gonna dump about a dozen of these bad boys in to Shamu Stadium and just let them do their thing. Hopefully guests will enjoy it."
The new experience will be narrated by "Larry the Cable Guy" and is expected to debut this spring.
