Chapek: "Epcot NYE Alcohol Sales Account For 97% Disney Parks Annual Revenue"

ANAHEIM, CA - In a recent interview with publication "Millionaire Bald Guys Quarterly", Bob Chapek (CHAIRMAN OF PARKS, EXPERIENCES AND CONSUMER PRODUCTS, The Walt Disney Company) was asked about how Disney Parks continues to provide revenue opportunities for their parent company.

"We really don't have to do much" Chapek stated. "Literally millions of frat boys and "Woo girls" flock to Epcot on New Years Eve every year with hopes of drinking around the world". New Years Eve at Epcot has long been known as one of busiest days on WDW property. This year was of course no exception. Among tidings of good joy and hopes of a new outlook for the coming year, revelers also partake in experiences exclusive to this place and time such as the fireworks being celebrated for each country in world show case, and chugging mixed drinks inside the gift show in the China pavilion.

"Yeah, we'll add a few desert parties and after hours events throughout the year, but they don't do anything to help the bottom line." Chapek added. "They're mostly to provide new types of entertainment for our guests. Where the real money comes from is the single guy in his affliction shirt hoping to get lucky so he drops a sweaty Benjamin on a round of (3)  margaritas. That's where the real cash comes from".

When asked why they don't extend the alcohol offerings to Magic Kingdom Chapek confirmed "We don't need to. It's not a matter of protecting Walt's vision. That went out the window long ago. We just simply don't have to. The revenue from last year's Epcot NYE event alone sustained all of our operating costs for 2018, and fully funded the construction of the Guardians of the Galaxy ride currently being built."
