Remembering the 1,200 Team Members Who Die at “Revenge of the Mummy” Each Day

ORLANDO, FL - Long-time fans of Universal Studios Florida have a lot of love for the few remaining classic rides: E.T. Adventure, Men in Black: Alien Attack and Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride.

What many fans may not realize is the tremendous sacrifice that operating The Mummy requires on a daily basis. You may remember that roughly 10 out of 10 rides is rerouted to an emergency unload station after the primary unload station is attacked by Imhotep and the Team Member manning the station is disintegrated by the ancient evil spirit.

“Nobody ever wants to be rotated into that station, since it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll be murdered the moment a ride vehicle pulls in,” shares Haley Devins, an employee who has worked on the ride for 8 months. “I’ve been able to avoid the spot so far, but who knows how long I’ll be able to keep it going.”

She continued, “You never want to get too close to the 1,200 new people who get trained in every day. They might be gone by tomorrow.”

We at Real Park News salute the sacrifice of the Team Members working at The Mummy and hope the issue will be solved soon.

The primary unload station reportedly exits into a Mummy dance party room that no one has ever seen.
