UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT - A Mississippi family on vacation at Universal this week reportedly wasted an entire day of their trip waving at themselves on a large video screen at the exit of Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem. The family was noticed early in the park’s operating hours by employees in the gift shop and Minion meet and greet.
Clint Douglas, patriarch of the family, was very embarrassed as he recounted the experience. “Look, I don’t know what to tell ya. We’re simple folk. I can’t explain what happens when we see ourselves live on a big screen. It’s just the most exciting thing I can think of!”
This reaction is not unexpected for the Douglas family, as mother Janet explained. “We had to stay at one of those fancy hotels so we could take the boat to the park. Last time we stayed at the Cabana Bay, and when we saw that big screen right after security... let’s just say we never even made it to CityWalk.”
Mr. Douglas continued, “I have to be careful just going into Wal-Mart. Any store or place where you can see yourself on a security feed or whatever is dangerous business for us.”
As of the time this article was written, the Douglas family was busy waving at themselves in a hallway mirror.
