HOLLYWOOD, CA - The latest news out of Hollywood shows that a niche group is campaigning to launch a reboot of “An American Tail,” starring the once-beloved Fievel. Reports confirm that this group is made up of the creative team in charge of KidZone at Universal Studios Florida.
Rumors for what will eventually replace the area have been ongoing for years, with the latest sources hinting that the popular Pokémon franchise will get the real estate. However, RPN’s quick conversation with Gill Lawrence of Universal Creative as he made his way to his car gives us a different story.
“Look, we know the area is dated. Barney, Curious George and Woody are old, but timeless. If we can get Fievel back with a CGI reboot, it would save us so much money in the park.” Lawrence insists, “Illumination Entertainment can make him look all shiny. Throw some Pharrell on there and the kids will eat it up. Boom. KidZone can stay as is.”
Hollywood has made it clear that they are as uninterested in Fievel as the theme park’s young guests are.
